Foreword: Rehan Aneksha

Construction Design Engineer turned Corporate Tree Hugger. Director of RA.

I’ve been passionate about making the smallest differences for our planet and its people for as long as I can remember. From building a water filtration system when I was 8 to the start of my career in construction, this was never a professional path I realised I could take.

Our impact footprint is up to 300x larger through our work than it is individually and the sustainability marketplace is set to grow by 470% (2024-2030). (GRI, 2024)

After nearly seven years in the world of technical design in construction, I took a deep dive into the world of corporate sustainability. My technical experience meant that I was able to do more than advocate; I was able to make systemic changes to ensure enduring impact.

With newfound purpose and aptitude to use business levers for good, I started to address a marketplace that was still relatively immature, with pockets of excellence.

I recognised that Sustainability as a strategic business driver was heavily weighted at the top – the biggest businesses with the biggest budgets.

Their strategies relied on thousands of small and medium suppliers, who made up over 90% of their impact.

Yet, there was nobody supporting most of these suppliers and support was generally unaffordable.

My understanding of the global, data and design contexts gathered through a career spanning ten years has allowed me to set industry exemplars through my work and through RA, I hope to close the gap between big business strategy and the smallest suppliers in the chain.

I am excited to bring our services to the fore to support anyone who wants to challenge their own status quo and establish a leading position in a world that is changing so rapidly.
